Free Parking Day 2019
Benefitting families at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
Free Parking Day is an event designed to serve families facing treatment or a stay at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. On June 20, 2019, every car that comes through the Scottish Rite and Egleston campus parking decks will be greeted with the simple gesture of free parking and the lasting reminder that they are not alone.
Are you looking for a tangible, impactful way to give back to the community? We invite you to join us in celebrating these courageous families and making this day a reality.
Our goal for Free Parking Day
We’ve set our goal at $8,000 for this campaign. With this funding, we will be able to pay the parking fee for every car that goes through the Egleston and Scottish Rite campus decks on June 20, 2019. Additionally, we look forward to bringing a few more fun surprises for the families. If you’d like to see a recap of last year’s event, you can find it here.
To guide your giving, we’ve listed a few recommended giving levels below. You can also give a custom amount on the donation page. Please know that any amount will make a tangible difference for a family in our community.
Make someone's day (sponsor five cars)
Make a splash (sponsor ten cars)
Make some waves (sponsor twenty cars)
Be a parking partner (sponsor an hour of free parking)
Be a parking pillar (strategic foundation for the campaign)
As a bonus, participants in this campaign will also get an early access opportunity to sign up for volunteer slots to the event — these fills up quickly each year!
helloHOPE is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, so donations may be tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.
Free Parking Day impact
Each year, it is an honor to be able to serve the brave families at our local children’s hospitals. With your help, here is some of the impact you’ve made!

“Most of [the families], when we say we’re giving you free parking, they say, ‘you’re doing what?!’”
“I have to say my favorite reaction today was from a woman who had her baby in the NICU and has had to come back, and she had tears running down her cheeks saying how thankful she was that we were paying for her parking.”
“I got to stand out in the courtyard and when families came in after surgery or a procedure or just to get away from the hospital room for a few minutes, it was fun to be able to share that moment with them to give them a popsicle and see them enjoy being a kid and being a family.”
We’re grateful for the partnerships of various organizations in supporting Free Parking Day and helping to surprise families at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Thank you to last year’s sponsors for generously supporting Free Parking Day 2018.
